A trader was gunned down in Azam Garh area of Nowshera district on Saturday morning. Fazal Subhan, an official of Akora Khattak police, said the incident occurred around 9am. Abdul Samad reported that his son Naeem was on his way to the market when two masked men travelling on a motorbike approached and opened fire at him. The culprits escaped while residents of the area rushed the victim to the hospital. However, Naeem’s injuries were too severe and he did not survive the attack. Samad told police his son had no known enemies and neither was he involved in any disputes. Meanwhile, a bullet-riddled body was found in a graveyard in Shaidu. An official said a pedestrian spotted the body and informed police, who shifted it to the hospital for an autopsy. Nobody had claimed the body till the filing of this report.
