JAMRUD: A khasadar official was killed and his son was kidnapped by unidentified men who barged into his house in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency in the early hours of Saturday. Tora Baz Khan said six men disguised as security officials barged into his brother Naik Muhammad’s hujra in Shahkas area of Jamrud at around 1am demanding to see the Khasadar official, according to political administration official Ali Sher. Baz said his brother picked up his gun and went outside his room, following which the men opened fire and shot Muhammad in the chest, killing him on the spot. The masked men then kidnapped Muhammad’s son Waqar Khan and fled. “I opened fire at the men when I realised they had come for my brother and his son,” Tora Baz told officials, adding the men had managed to escape by then.
