
High-speed winds began blowing across the district in the evening on Friday, followed by thunder and lightning for several hours before heavy rain fell.
Rain water has also flooded several cotton fields and has wet the wheat that was harvested recently. In Cholistan, ponds and wells are once again filled with water enough to last a few months.
