Confession: Robbery drama foiled
SHO Irfan Akbar investigated the matter and made Ameen part of the investigation as well.
BAHAWALPUR:
Civil Lines police on Saturday claimed to have recovered stolen money from the driver of an oil company’s recovery van. DSP Riaz Bukhari said on May 10, Muhammad Ameen called police claiming that he had been robbed of Rs673,320 near Welcome Chowk.
SHO Irfan Akbar investigated the matter and made Ameen part of the investigation as well. Police said Ameen confessed that he had given the amount to his brother-in-law and faked a robbery. Police said that they had raided his brother-in-law’s house and found the money.
