PTI workers, police clash in Islamabad

Fists and slaps were thrown from the workers' side after which the police baton charged them.

ISLAMABAD: A clash occurred between workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the police in Islamabad on Friday, Express News reported.

Fists and slaps were thrown from the workers' side after which the police baton charged them.

The incident took place near NADRA Chowk. The workers were protesting outside the Election Commission of Pakistan against the alleged rigging in the May 11 general elections that were held last year.

The clash occurred when the police tried to stop them from proceeding close to the commission.
