Welcoming : Minister encourages US investment
The government has undertaken structural reforms for market development, said minister.
WASHINGTON:
A business roundtable conference on textiles and the apparel sector was held in Washington on the sidelines of the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) Council meeting. Minister of commerce engineer Khurram Dastgir welcomed participants of the conference, and apprised the attendees of the positive steps taken by the government to promote investor friendly atmosphere in the country especially in the textile sector. He said that the government has undertaken structural reforms for market development and efficient public sector management. He reiterated the government’s resolve to ensure prospective investors face fair competition, easy entry, reduced government involvement and improved regulatory quality.
