Acquittal: Murder suspect gets benefit of doubt

The witnesses, including the complainant, said the man arrested was not the murderer.

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge acquitted a murder suspect, giving him the benefit of doubt.  According to a case registered by Abdur Razzaq with Garhi Shahu police, a security guard had beaten up his son and shot him dead. The witnesses, including the complainant, said the man arrested was not the murderer. Razzaq said police had obtained his thumbprints and made him sign a paper.
