“We promised to make a green and clean Peshawar, and we’re working towards making it that way,” the minister said.
Speaking to the media, Khattak said that a company will oversee the progress of sanitation, hygiene and drinking water in the city.
“A team from Lahore that will overlook the progress of hygiene, sanitation and drinking water has reached Peshawar ,” he said.
“Within the next four months, the company will prepare feasibility reports and after that, work will formally begin,” Khattak added.
Furthermore, the minister said that after September 15, a third party will review the progress made in Peshawar.
May 11 protest
Speaking about the protest that his party, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) held on Sunday, Khattak firmly said that it was against the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
“They (the ECP) promised us that they will contend against the rigging we complained about last year,” he said.
“The ECP told us that they will take three-four months. A year has passed and no action has been taken,” Khattak added.

We the people of KP are feeling the change with every passing day. Processes are improving, police service is improving, hospitals are cleaner and more equipped, roads have improved like ring road Peshawar and University road, we are seeing colleges and universities being built, plantation being done, sanitation being improved, we are seeing closed schools opening up, teachers attendances improving etc. etc. I can actually go on and on. It is very easy for people sitting outside to issue a blanket statement saying there is no progress which really is quite far from reality
@Oats: level of lahore...LOL
Here comes another example of change!!
I thought PTI was supposed to be transforming the KPK for better already. Maybe if they spent less time with senseless demonstrations and did their job, Peshawar would develop to the level of Lahore, Sialkot or Faisalabad.
'clean and green' , wow, i really like this slogan. Impressive. Hopefully PTI is able to come up with a system to do all that.
all you need is good governance, unfortunately, our sindhi brothers do not understand
Just give it the Local Bodies system that you promised to give it in 90 Day. What a disspointment PTI has been for the nation.
PTI govt in KPK has totally failed. They are still not able to determine a direction and priorities.All lies.
Why ask the Lahore team about how to create a clean and green Peshawar? Is this not an admission that Lahore is being used as a standard to copy? Would this not undermine PTI claims about good governance?
