Exceeding Authority: Case sought against Operations SSP

Judge said only the CCPO had the authority to suspend policemen.

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Lower Mall SHO on a petition filed by a policeman seeking a case against Operations SSP Rana Abdul Jabbar for allegedly misusing his authority in suspending him. Inspector Hassan Askari said in December, an SP, had abused him over which Jabbar suspended him. He said only the CCPO had the authority to suspend policemen.
