Electric shock: Three children suffer burns
Children were rushed to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) Burn Centre for treatment.
ISLAMABAD:
Three minors suffered burns on Sunday after a utility pole broke and fell on them. They were rushed to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) Burn Centre for treatment. An official at the burn center said one of the children, identified as Amanullah Khan, 13, sustained 100 per cent burn wounds and was critical, whereas Farhad Safdar, 10, sustained 35 per cent burns and Azaz Khan, 12, sustained 10 per cent burns. They children belonged to Pakhtun families and are residents of Koral. The official said Amanullah has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit while stating his chances of survival were minimal. The official said that Amanullah’s back, hands, face, neck and legs had been burnt, while Safdar had sustained burn injuries on his back, neck and one arm. The injured were brought to the hospital by Rescue1122, said the official.
