Nawaz, Gen Raheel discuss security situation

Nawaz expressed his grief over the loss of lives and said that the sacrifices by soldiers will not go in vain.

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Thursday to brief him on the security situation in the country, according to Radio Pakistan reported.

During the one-on-one meeting, the Army chief briefed the premier about the security situation in various parts of the country including Karachi, Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and FATA.

Gen Raheel also shared details of Thursday’s attacks in Miranshah, Waziristan in which at least nine soldiers had been killed.

Nawaz expressed his grief over the loss of lives and said that the sacrifices by soldiers will not go in vain.

The premier also congratulated the Army Chief and the nation on the successful training launch of short range surface to surface ballistic missile Hatf III (Ghaznavi).

This set up is totally confused what to do. talibans have killed more people than those killed in two wars with India. We are still not sure if they are enemies or brothers. This happens when we don't ignore principles and go for political expediencies.
