Roadside explosion: Blast damages bridge in Hangu

HANGU: A bridge was severely damaged in an explosion in Darsamand area of Hangu on Wednesday. Bomb disposal unit official Asadullah Khan said the explosive device was planted on the link road in Doaba tehsil under a bridge, near a basic health unit. He added the device exploded around 10am but no human loss was reported. Khan said one kilogramme of explosives was used in the device. While no group claimed responsibility for the incident till the filing of this report, a search operation was initiated by the police to nab the culprits.
