KARACHI: At least 1,000 cases of diarrhoea are being reported at the city’s public hospitals on a daily basis, revealed Pakistan Pediatric Association’s president, Prof Iqbal Memon. He said that the diarrhea cases were being reported at the Civil Hospital, Karachi, National Institute of Child Health, Government Children Hospital, North Karachi, and other public-sector hospitals. Prof Memon said that the number usually goes up with the rise in temperature. Children are affected most as they eat substandard items, advising that the affected children should immediately be taken to the hospital.
