The PIC was inspected previously in March and management was told by the authorities to clean their operation theatres as they reportedly were teeming with bacteria and germs.
The hospital’s own pathology department conducted tests on the operation theatre tables and instruments and discovered on April 21 (when the results came out) that most of the hospital supplies were contaminated.
PIC has been given a deadline of May 6 (Tuesday) to have the hospital cleaned. Till then, the operation theatres will be shut, and no surgeries will be conducted.

@TrueKarachiwala Say what will you about the sharifs but if they see a problem they see a problem they fix it... The institutions own pathology dept found it to be not of the same standards... with all the nepotism that goes on in karachi i wouldnt even expect this... In lahore you can roam the streets night and day and still come back home with your wallet and phone... So its not perfect but its a lot better than the governance your city shows us
@True Karachiwala:
So very true.
The Sharif brothers also deserve many awards - all in acting.
Best performances portraying
Honest people Caring people Sincere in solving ptoblems for the people of Pak land. People who love the army.If I was on the panel assessing their acting performances..,I would certainly vote them well ahead of the Zardaris.
Like most other countries Pakistan is too busy buying military equipment such as F-16's to worry about important matters such as infra structure, hospitals, schools, health, etc, etc
Meanwhile, the patients awaiting life saving surgeries shall get to travel on metro buses free of cost. I guess thats the last thing they shall remember.
Seeing is believing.The Sharifs know the psyche of their voters. Just make Lahore beautiful (that too superficially, no infrastructure improvement) and engage people in trifle hilarious matters. But under "green carpets" all is not well. This is the same PIC where patients came to be healed and but instead they got "killing pills". Good governance, isn't it ?
