Art show: Exhibition opens at Pindi arts council

RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed said the council is the second home of artists.

A painting exhibition featuring works by 26 artists started at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) on Tuesday, said a press release.


The work comprises calligraphy, landscape, sketches and buildings using oil, water color and pencil as medium.

Over 64 art pieces by Aftab Ahmed Khan, Elahi Bukhsh Mattee, Nasir Khan Seemab, Mah Rukh Sultan, Syed Jabir Hussain, Sajid Sipra, Saima Amir, Kashif Abbas Hashmi, Nadeem, Mamoona Humayoun, Muhammad Ali, Samad bin Ramzan, Nida Habib, Zobia Asad, Munawar Hussain, Munizah Janbaz, Talhia, Sadaf Zeshan, Shahid Hussain, Sheraz, Israr Ahmed Farooqui, Sidra Butt, Younis Roomi, Farhana Ali,Waqar Ali and Ali Imran’s are on display.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Cabinet Secretariat Raja Muhammad Javed Ikhlas said the council has always encouraged the new talent and honored the artists.

RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed said the council is the second home of artists.

The exhibition will be open from 9am to 5pm daily till Saturday.
