Tragic loss: Child killed as cave collapses
Cave collapse in Khyber Agency injures father and kills daughter.
JAMRUD:
A girl was killed and her father injured when a cave collapsed on them in Lala Cheena, Khyber Agency on Sunday. Ali Sher, an official of the political administration, said Bahadur Khan reported that the cave he and his family were living in collapsed around midnight, killing his 10-year-old daughter and burying him under the rubble. He said people present nearby rushed to the scene, and pulled him and his daughter out of the debris. Bahadur was taken to Jamrud Civil Hospital later. According to Sher, Bahadur is a displaced person from Tirah Valley. Meanwhile, a woman was killed and a man severely injured in a road mishap in Jamrud’s Teddy Bazaar. A government official said two cars coming from opposite sides collided, killing a woman on the spot and injuring a man.
