This was decided after the TTP peace talks committee contacted the TTP shura. Professor Mohammad Ibrahim confirmed the TTP request.
On April 23, government negotiators and Taliban intermediaries had agreed to form a subcommittee to look into reservations from both sides in an effort to keep the nascent peace dialogue process. This was done at a joint meeting of the government negotiating team and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s intermediary committee.
The meeting was convened by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to look into the situation against the backdrop of TTP’s refusal to extend their 40-day ceasefire. The government has already made it clear that it would not be possible to move ahead with talks in the absence of ceasefire.

Only a country like Pakistan will allow known terrorist a place at the negotiations table these same people are attacking its innocent citizens, its journalist and children. This puts a huge spotlight on the politicians, security forces and the citizens of Pakistan * who do not inherit any *backbone of courage to eliminate this vicious virus from the homeland.
The Talibans should know that they are dealing with people from the Government of different culture, speak different language and are not reliable. of Ibrahim should not stick his head into sand.

Amazing to see this farce still going on while innocent people getting killed at the same time. They have spent more time discussing the venues of meeting than any substance. TTP has yet to acknowledge thw release of the 'non-combatants' let alone reciprocate. We have an interior minister who is more a minister/spokesman of TTP than acting as responsible for internal security/law enforcement.
