Power crisis: ‘Where are the megawatts?’

Six to twelve hours load shedding in start of summer is alarming.

LAHORE: “Summer heat has not peaked yet and there is load shedding of 6 to 12 hours...an ominous sign of what summer will be like,” PPP Punjab president Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo said in a statement on Friday. He said the government was handing out contracts for power generation plants while maintaining the energy crisis would not be controlled for another three years. He called on the government to take prompt measures to cope with the “alarming situation.”
