KARACHI: Around half a dozen men were arrested by the police for their alleged connection with the kidnapping of two employees of Unicef. The two men were recovered by the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) and Anti-Violent Crime Cell on Monday from Steel Town. The employees went missing from Gulshan-e-Maymar on Thursday as they made their way to a family resort. Both men were visiting from Hyderabad. Police sources claimed that they had detained the landlord of the house the employees were being kept hostage in. The landlord’s son, relatives and an estate agent were also detained. CPLC’s deputy chief Najeeb Danawala confirmed that arrests had been made.
