LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday said that Punjab government had constituted a project team for speedy completion of two coal power plants of 660 megawatt each at Sahiwal. Chairing a meeting in Lahore, he hoped that coal project of 1,320 megawatt would be completed in 30 months, adding that government was implementing a solid strategy for coping with the problem of energy shortage. Shahbaz Sharif said that agreement of two coal power plants in Sahiwal had been given final shape with a consortium of Chinese companies, while its feasibility report had been prepared.
