PESHAWAR:

Awami National Party-Wali (ANP-W) General Secretary Farid Toofan on Thursday demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to launch an inquiry into the alleged corruption of Awami National Party (ANP) leaders.

Talking to the media at Peshawar Press Club, Toofan claimed that during their five-year government in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), ANP leaders had indulged in massive corruption.

Without mentioning a name, he claimed that a present senator of ANP has left assets worth Rs60 million undeclared.

ANP MPAs who did not even own homes now have millions of rupees worth of houses and vehicles, he added.

“On April 25, an ANP-W march will be held in Peshawar, in which we will disclose an important agreement signed between the United States government and ANP leaders,” said Toofan. “I have received all the documents of this agreement and will distribute a copy among journalists on that day.”
