Clarifying position: Ministry not responsible, says Dar

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says finance ministry is not responsible for conducting auction of 3G and 4G licences.

ISLAMABAD:

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday said the finance ministry is not responsible for conducting the auction of 3G and 4G licences.

“The auction for 3G and 4G licences is being conducted by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority… the Ministry of Finance has nothing to do with the process,” he said in reply to question at a news conference in Islamabad.
