RAWALPINDI: Police found the passport and identity card of the man who killed two of his nephews and injured another on April 14, Express News reported on Wednesday.

SHO Murree said that the suspect Nadeem Khan has not fled to another country and is still in Pakistan. Police have hastened their search for the suspect who had dumped the bodies of the deceased in a forest after killing them.

Background

Talking to The Express Tribune, Operations Senior Superintendent of Police Mian Maqbool had said the bodies were recovered from Broha near Chattar Park. “They were killed by their uncle, Nadeem Khan.”

Nadeem Khan, who had purportedly taken his three nephews — Zain, Mahar and Waqar Ali — for a drive, slit their throats and left them for dead. Zain however, was not fatally wounded and ‘played dead’ before walking to a nearby road, where passersby took him to a hospital. He is still unable to talk due to the nature of his injuries, but was able to give the police a written statement.

These crimes were reportedly committed on the advice of a pir who told the uncle that in order to fulfil his wishes he will have to sacrifice three children.

The accused belong from Abbotabad that is in KP. So in my view this news item should be mentioned in KP subheading rather than in Punjab subsection.
