Three of the two abducted people, one of whom was identified as a contractor, are from Azad Jammu and Kashmir while the third is a driver hailing from South Waziristan. Police reached Roddi village, which borders the volatile South Waziristan Agency, after being informed of the incident and launched a search operation but the culprits had escaped along with the abducted persons. However, an old Suzuki Mehran was found left behind, said the police official. An FIR was lodged against unidentified people at Kulachi police station on the complaint of Raja Yasir Iqbal, an employee of the NGO. The kidnapped employees work for a Saudi-funded NGO that has projects in the underdeveloped areas of Gura Guldad, Roddi and Jehangirabad.
