Special seats: Third round of LB polls on May 29

QUETTA: Provincial Election Commissioner of Balochistan Syed Sultan Bayazeed on Monday said the third round of local government elections for 4,562 special seats will be held on May 29. The announcement was made after notification of amended bill regarding local bodies’ election was issued. Talking to the media, he said names of all nominated candidates would be published on May 2 and objections would be heard on May 3. The process of the scrutiny of papers would continue from May 4 to 6 and on the same day the final list of candidates would be published. Appeals would be heard against the accepted or rejected forms on May 7 and 8 and all the appeals would be dealt with from May 9 to 12. He said the final list of the candidates would be published on May 14.
