PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led provincial government lacks direction and there is marked difference between the words of its leaders and their deeds, said Qaumi Watan Party Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Monday. According to a press release issued by the party, Sherpao said, “There is no proper planning to implement the so-called agenda of change.” Criticising the ruling party, Sherpao said the appointment of eight senior officials in the information department without advertising the posts belies the PTI leadership’s claims that it would do away with nepotism and eradicate corruption. “The chief minister suspended the secretary of the sports department and other officials instead of taking action against the minister. The officials were made a scapegoat, but the minister was spared, which shows the rulers have double standards,” said Sherpao. The opposition leader further lambasted PTI saying it failed to do its work for the local government elections and instead passed the buck to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
