Man from Karachi: Alleged target killer held in Abbottabad

Police claims to have arrested alleged hit-man wanted to Karachi police in acts of terrorism and targeted killing.

ABBOTTABAD: Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested an alleged hit-man wanted to Karachi police in several acts of terrorism and targeted killing. Nawanshehr police officials said that on receiving an intelligence report it contacted CID police Karachi. The Nawanshehr police and Karachi CID in a joint operation raided a house in Nawansher town and apprehended Irfan Abdul Rasheed a resident of Mehmoodabad Karachi. Police team recovered a pistol, a Kalashnikov and a car No 586-Sindh which the accused had allegedly stolen from the CID's office. Police said that the accused was wanted in over 13 cases of targeted killing in Karachi and had fled to Nawanshehr where he started living in a rented house sometimes back.
