The former federal minister was referring to a recent Gallup Pakistan survey, which concluded that a majority of Pakistanis believe that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government is running the country better.
Wattoo claims that 12 to 18 hours of power outage, inflation and the rise in crimes are enough to discredit the survey.
He also singled out the Punjab Youth Festival, arguing that substantial funds were spent on something 'futile'.
The three-time former chief minister of Punjab also stated that the survey implicitly discredits the governance in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), where, according to him, the public’s approval rating was more than 57%.
Calling into question the mechanism of conducting the survey, the statement said that it was easy to manipulate the results through the framing of the questions. The PPP claims that the survey seems to have employed such measures to obtain “pre-determined conclusions” to favour one party over others.
Wattoo maintained that the “sponsored assessment” was not going to help the government, suggesting that it should focus its attention on solving the problems of the people.
He also stated that the public was not better off now than it was during the PPP government when at least goods of common use were available at moderate process, and there was no domestic load shedding of gas.

It is not who is saying but it is what is being said. The message is more imp than the messenger. Talibanization of Bakistan and particularly Bunjab is well underway.
The man has zero credibility .......... unfortunately with our ' jagirdari ' system and the politics of patronage that exists in PAkistan, people like him exist and thrive.
Wattoo does not have the ability to even collect 500 people for PPP JALSA .He is part of history now .
Does not Gallup belong to Jamati.
All credit to governance of PPP for pulling of this feat by making the Govt run by Mians look good.
I hope everyone knows and understands that this Gallup Pakistan which has conducted this survey has nothing to do with and no association with the world famous Gallup Inc. based in Washington DC, U.S.A. So I wonder who owns Gallup Pakistan, and who runs it??? Fishy fishy fishy...
Why beaten/dead horse is a news? Who cares about these crooks? After PPP government performance no one wants to hear them again. Sometime I really wonder why goofballs of PML (N) have not opened cases against all the corruption that went on in last PPP's government.
The people of Punjab are tired of the people like Wattoo since they cannot do any productive work at all. Also Punjab youth festival was the good effort since it engaged hundreds of thousands of people in sports and that is totally worth it.
I think Wattoo has a point.
Watoo Ji....you continue with your carpetbagging and sycophancy of Zardari and Bilawal. We all know that a turncoat like you who has a rather meritorious record when it comes to changing political loyalties, has been thoroughly discredited by the masses. Hence, a gas bag like you should just sit back an devise new schemes to keep Zardari and his children happy.
As for championing the cause of KPK Government. A person of limited intellect like you wouldn't know that the previous Gallup had asked respondents from all four provinces whether they were satisfied by the "Current Situation in Pakistan." 57% of the respondents in KPK gave thumbs up in the regard and this is no way constitutes an approval or disapproval of any government or political party.
Who cares about Wattoos, People of Pakistan and above all, our Great Khan is happy with this government.
