Necessary perk: Cops to get free medical treatment

Operations Assistant Inspector General issued directions to ensure treatment for sick cops at local hospitals.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have decided to bankroll the treatment of its sick cops. Operations Assistant Inspector General Sultan Azam Temuri, who is currently also an acting senior superintendent of police, issued directions to ensure treatment for sick cops at local hospitals. “The Islamabad Police department will bear all expenses for their treatment,” Temuri said, according to a statement issued by the police. Cops suffering from illness will be provided treatment at quality hospitals in Islamabad so they can recover and serve the force better, he said. He also said welfare measures will continue to improve performance of the force. He directed all superintendents of police to take steps that ensure the welfare of their subordinates and resolve their problems.
