Vengeance: Man suspected of illicit relations killed

Family of the deceased protested, say strict action should be taken against those involved in the murder.

BAHAWALPUR: A Hindu man’s body was found in a canal in Samma Satta. Police told The Express Tribune that Hans Ram was murdered on Thursday. They said the body had been burned, and that his hands and feet were tied with a rope. The body was identified by Ram’s brother. Ram’s brothers Neerat Ram and Bhagwan Das said the victim closed down his shop in the evening and but never reached home. They said he was suspected of having a relationship with a married woman in Ahmadpur East. They said her son, along with his two accomplices kidnapped Ram and had killed him. The family of the deceased protested on Thursday evening and said strict action should be taken against those involved in the murder. City police have arrested Rana Akbar, Hafiz Aashiq and Rashiq Kamboh, the nominated suspects, and registered a case against them on the complaint of Neerat Ram.
