Troubled path: NATO driver killed in gun attack

Injured driver was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries on the way.

JAMRUD: The driver of a Nato oil tanker, en route to Afghanistan, was shot and killed by the unknown riders in Jamrud on Thursday morning. Assistant Political Agent Roshan Mehsud said that it was the first oil tanker after a long time, which was taking supplies to Afghanistan through Jamrud, Khyber Agency. He said that when it reached Jamrud bypass early in the morning some unknown riders opened fire at the vehicle. As a result the driver of the tanker sustained bullet injuries while the cleaner of the vehicle escaped narrowly, he added. The injured driver was rushed to the hospital by officials of the political administration but he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
