Missing in action: Groom ‘disappears’ on wedding day

The groom had left for a beauty parlour to get ready a few hours before the wedding.

FAISALABAD: A groom went missing on his wedding day on Wednesday. Muhammad Rafiq, resident of Chak 546-GB, told newsmen his uncle Qasim Rehmani had arranged the marriage of his son Walayat. He said the baraat was scheduled to proceed to Chak 147-GB Dilmeer Di Jhok on Wednesday and arrangements for the wedding had been completed. He said a few hours before the wedding the groom had left for a beauty parlour to get ready. “He never came back,” Rafiq said. He said the family tried to call his cell phone and searched for him but to no avail.  Mamonkanjan station house officer (SHO) said the police had not received a missing person complaint
