Unending wait: My son isn’t involved in politics, says Taseer

Aamna Taseer, widow of slain former governor of Punjab Salmaan Taseer, stresses her son is a non-combatant.

Aamna Taseer, widow of the slain former governor of Punjab Salmaan Taseer has said that her family has nothing to do with politics.

“My son, Shahbaz, has never been involved in politics and is an innocent victim of the violence that has plagued our country in recent years,” she said praising the prime minister for his efforts to secure the release of her son and other captives.

She stressed her son is a non-combatant and prayed for the success of the talks and the early return of all innocents suffering because of this conflict.
