Collaboration: Institute of Engineers to work with govt

ISLAMABAD: The Institute of Engineers, Rawalpindi-Islamabad Centre and Institute of Space Technology (IST) will work together to provide technical input to the government for addressing socio-economic issues. Both the institutes will also motivate members of engineering profession to help the government finalise and implement Vision-2025, it was decided in a meeting held here. They decided to hold panel discussions and seminars to give their technical input and suggestions to the government on the Vision-2025, put forth by Minister of Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal. The Institute of Engineers decided that they would take part in the nation-building process and support the government in addressing the socio-economic problems faced by the country. It was emphasised that the support of technical experts was imperative for successfully implementing the government’s policy on planning and development. The meeting was presided over by IST Vice Chancellor Imran Rehman.
