During an open session on Sunday morning, the Iranian parliament passed the bill with 187 votes in favor, 14 votes against and 6 abstentions.
The bill on Iran-Pakistan Security pact had earlier been adopted by the Iranian Council of Ministers and submitted to the parliament on March 31, 2013.
The bill contains a single article and 11 clauses in which the areas of cooperation, working methods, costs, the responsible ministries and other issues relating to the security pact are included.
In February 2013, the two countries signed the security pact with the aim of boosting anti-terror cooperation.
The agreement, which was signed in Tehran between the Pakistan’s interior minister and his Iranian counterpart, was intended to take strict measures to combat terrorism, human and drug trafficking.

@Munir Ahmed: Iran knows how to manage its own interest, it has not asked for any advices from Indians.
@afzaal khan: Iran is a neighbor with common borders. KSA is not. Imagine if such an agreement is signed with China or Afghanistan, will you still mention KSA.
Pakistan and Iran needs to have more close cordial and cooperation as in world arena the enemy of Iran and Pakistan are same, sooner both the nation realize specially Pakistan better it is for Pakistan. Moreover Pakistan should avoid intervening in Arab Iran rivalry even if it does give some financial benefits for Pakistan for soaring it's relationships with next door neighbor.
What no uproar? Imagine if pact was done with KSA :P
Keeping in view Pakistan's weak record of fighting terrorism and playing double games - Iran must watch its interests.
