
According to the release, the Supreme Court has also taken suo motu notice of the construction.
DHA has said people with vested interests have launched a negative propaganda campaign in the media against it. It added that the project has threatened the structure of a Hindu temple besides endangering the holy shrine in its vicinity, and will affect thousands of residents of the locality.
Defence and Clifton residents are in contact with DHA and the Clifton Cantonment Boards, and have lodged their protests with them, the release stated. It added that the project has violated an environmental monitoring report, creating a serious threat for residents.
DHA said it is a respectable organization which takes full responsibility for ensuring residents live peacefully and continuously works to solve any problems they face.
DHA has approached the court over the problems faced by its residents due to the construction, the release said, adding that the authority would take all possible actions to safeguard their rights.
The authority also said it reserves the right of legal action against those involved in negative propaganda against it.
