The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said on Saturday that the authorities should "decide General (retd) Pervez Musharraf's case on merit rather than on personal likes and dislikes".
Addressing a farewell dinner at the party's international secretariat in London for Pakistan's High Commissioner to the UK Wajid Shamsul Hasan, the MQM leader said that the decision on the former president's case should not be biased. "The decision should not be made on personal likes and dislikes," he said on the occasion, which was attended by MQM leaders, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Nadeem Nusrat, along with other party members.
According to a press statement, Hussain said that he was merely offering his advice. "It is not an order," stressed Hussain. "It is just an advice and it is up to the leaders whether they want to listen to it or not."

@Aam Aadmi: He is a dual citizen and head of the 4th largest political party in Pakistan, so he is not poking his nose but using his righful podium to voice the sentiments of millions of Pakistanis who know Musharraf is being unjustly targeted. I am not an MQM follower but Altaf is right in this regard.
@Aam Aadmi: it was actually lily-liver disease
Why a British citizen is poking his nose in internal matters of Pakistan? The British citizen has to live & die in London, where he has been living for the past 22 years. He flew from Pakistan on the pretext of "medical treatment" for his liver disease but never came back despite his troll party being part of the successive governments for 15 years and his party's member is Governor for the past 12 years, a big record!
