Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and former President Asif Ali Zardari addressed the gathering of party supporters and workers.
Speaking about his grandfather, Bilawal said that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave the world the vision of a “modern Islamic nation”, and that he was a thought and a philosophy. “Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was the hope for the common man, he gathered leaders of the Muslim world, and gave this nation the atomic bomb,” he added. “This country needs Bhutto once more.”
“If Bhutto was not martyred we would not have been in this situation,” he added.
Bilawal also criticised the government for its policies on terrorism and privatisation. “In the name of privatization the government is planning on selling of the nations assets,” he lamented. “The people of Pakistan will never sell of their assets. ... We won’t push our nation into unemployment.”
Echoing Bilawal’s statements, former President Asif Ali Zardari said that Pakistan and the Muslim world were at crossroads. “During (Zulfikar Ali) Bhutto’s time when the Muslim world was faced with difficulties we stood with them, but we did not put ourselves in danger.”
“Martyrs never die,” he said. “Long live Bhutto!”
Earlier, the Sindh Chief Minister in his speech encouraged the youth to apply for government jobs and to keep their hopes high. He added that multiple electricity projects were underway for the Tharparkar district and that many similar projects were planned for other regions of Sindh.
PPP leaders Khursheed Shah and Aitzaz Ahsan also addressed the gathering at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.

What Zia did to Islam, Bhutto did to Socialism but his worst crime was that he surrendered without a fight.
Enough is enough!! The country has already been plundered on the name of Bhutto... The 4 Governments of Bhuttos, spanning over 15 years, has broken the backbone of Pakistan economy and broke all records of corruption, nepotism, cronyism and mismanagement.
ZAB was not hanged by fanatic General but PPP and Zardari. BB was not killed by trained snipers who repeatedly tried to hill her with hundreds of supporters but PPP and Zardari. Now if God forbid Bilawal is attacked it would again be by Zardari and PPP. These fanatic organizations which endorsed PTI and PML are true peaceful Muslim brothers. Bilawal and ANP should not worry about these assets who have no hand in killing of Taseer, Bhatti, ANP leaders and kidnapping their sons.
Can somebody also highlight ZAB's role in dismembering Pakistan...
