Illegal: Two jailed for selling tobacco to kids

Assistant commissioner says shopkeepers were “openly” selling cigarettes to minors in violation of law.

FAISALABAD: Two shopkeepers in Faisalabad were jailed on Saturday for selling cigarettes to minors. Assistant Commissioner Zaheer Anwar Jappa initiated cases against shop owners Shahid and Qaiser on Tariq Road in Gulberg police’s area. The assistant commissioner said the shopkeepers were “openly” selling cigarettes to minors in violation of the law.
