ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad police arrested 14 persons on various charges, including eight proclaimed offenders, and seized weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Friday. In a crackdown on the criminals, the police arrested eight proclaimed offenders allegedly involved in various crimes. The Secretariat police arrested Fayyaz for carrying a 30-bore pistol while the Margalla police nabbed Qamar Ali on theft charges along with looted items. The CIA police arrested Waris for carrying a 30-bore pistol while Zafar Iqbal was arrested by the Tarnol police for selling petroleum products illegally. Cases have been registered against them under the relevant laws.
