Art and culture: Museum to honour Nusrat Fateh Ali

DCO announces that a monument would also be constructed at singer’s grave.

FAISALABAD: “The district government and the Lyallpur Heritage Foundation are setting up a museum to honour Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan,” District Coordination Officer (DCO) Noorul Amin Mengal said on Friday. Speaking at a ceremony to lay the foundation stone of the museum at the Faisalabad Arts Council Museum, he said the project would be completed in three months. Mengal said the museum would be set up within the Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium. “It will highlight his marvellous work… It will also try to document his life.” The DCO announced that a monument would also be constructed at the singer’s grave. MPA Begum Najma Afzal and MPA Haji Khalid Saeed were also present on the occasion.
