Oversight committee for NA strategic plan constituted

The committee would submit its report along with the recommendations on a monthly basis to the Speaker.

ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has constituted a “Strategic Plan Oversight Committee” (SPOC) to ensure the implementation of the assembly's strategic plan.

According to a press release issued from the national assembly secretariat, the committee comprises of Members of National Assembly Marriyum Aurangzeb, Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, Asiya Nasir, Asad Umar, Zahid Hamid, Muhammad Pervaiz Malik, Saman Sultana Jafri and Omar Ayub.

The committee has been mandated to oversee the development of the strategic plan according to the established SMART goals and strategic framework of the national assembly, review the progress made on the plan on quarterly basis and asses its performance.

A monthly report will be submitted by the committee along with its recommendations to the speaker.

The strategic plan was designed for the enhancement of the capacity of the parliamentarians and parliamentary staff, as well as to make the parliament vibrant, paperless, green and environment friendly.
