According to a reply submitted in the National Assembly by the Interior Ministry, the legal team is split into two teams - a "prosecution team" and "constitutional team" - there are a total of 14 people on the government's payroll and many of them get paid twice, separately in the capacity of being on both teams.
Interestingly enough, the lowest paid is the lead prosecutor, Akram Shaikh who got a total of Rs999. The highest paid is Nasirudin Khan Nayyer, the "in charge of prosecution," who was billed at Rs10 million.
The total bill was Rs20,500,999.
Here is a breakdown of who got what:

Over Rs120 million spent on Musharraf
In addition to the Rs20 million bill for lawyers that Musharraf has racked up, the government has spent over Rs100 million on ensuring the former president's security in just nine months.
According to the sources, every month around Rs10 million is being spent to secure the former president.
The sources added that the former president had 300 regular police personnel including commandos and women police alongside 100 rangers officials.
The police sources said that for every hearing of Musharraf cases, whether or not he appears in court, security agencies have to make arrangements costing Rs100,000 per day.

This amount should be recovered after selling the public property illegally encroached by Musharraf (in Chak Shehzad) or the 50 acres land (in Yazman) cunningly transferred by General Musharraf in his own name. Musharraf has stashed millions of Dollars in UNB Bank Abu Dhabi and owns a luxury apartment in central London.
Wow at least one sector is booming in Pakistan. All South Asian country lawyer folks, head towards Pakistan. Lucrative legal job opportunities being offered there, earn worth 100,00,000 per case! Where else can you find such lavish salariy offerings? Hurry! Go grab it! Aisa mauka baar baar nai aata! ;D
@Rafay Ahmad: I am totally against Military Interventions in Pakistan but what is the guarantee that after Musharraf's conviction by the court (which is unlikely), Military take over will not happen in future. However, to be honest, I must say that our politicians are corrupt but the country has benefitted from General Ayub Khan and Pervez Musharraf during their tenures. We as a nation made a grave mistake by removing Ayub Khan in 1969.
Who can believe that this man Akram sheikh is paid only this much amount , they have been paid in lot of other ways like the ex justice of lahore high court KS has been provided lot of money and perks,like the ex CJP Iftekhar chaudhary the Only imandaar judge at present history , but he is been provided the land and Guard and armoured car , so why we have to trust this man they are only pleasing their bosses to show their quality to obey the orders God bless our country, we have so many of these sort onedient servants.
I like dictatorship
When three chief justices of HC took the court (first time in history) to Europe for one foreigner and an unsigned undated memo nobody was crying foul because it was against PPP. In addition a large bench of SC was hearing that case and its findings never saw the light of the day. That was money well spent to achieve a political goal against elected govt. Now the same person NS who had filed the memo case is wasting millions on the protection of Commando and awarding his cronies. Why would Mush continue to be allowed in our military hospital on our money? Why most of the money is spent/wasted on his protection? This protection money could have saved starving children in Pakistan. Instead of dragging its feet the court should move to the safety of military hospital and charge Mush right there. Then in a summary judgement exile him to his mother and to his favorite Pakistani doctor in Texas. This drama should end soon we cannot continue to spend hundreds of millions on Mush's security while he is in the most secure place military hospital!
This is a mockery of justice. We are negotiating with terrorists who do not accept constitution of Pakistan, and trying our best to terrify a person who saved Pakistan in difficult time.
Musharraf we love you Sir! Sense will prevail.
The bill should be sent to Musharraf "Bahadur" 's people because he skipped many appearances in the court hence prolonging the court proceedings. Justice should prevail. No matter what the cost.
@Rafay Ahmad:
you must be kidding yourself. if that truly is the 'reason', why isnt the government prosecuting the actions of 1999, when the military 'de-railed' (your words not mine) the 'democratic' (my words) process?
This amount is nothing compared to the money spent on media compaign against Musharraf. But dont worry, the money was not pakistani, it came from our brotherly country. What we pay in return to this brotherly country is another question.
What is more important, revenge or money (espacially when this money is not your own)? I think everyone knows the answer. Look at the satisfaction on the faces of our leaders and you will get the answer.
And how much was the bill for case against Nawaz Sharif in 1999? Why no one said that money should be spent on the poor? . Not everything is for the poor. . This logic of 'gove it to the poor' will stop every business and professional activity in the country. This way nothing will function in the state and only Lungar (free food distributed in long queus) will be done in the country!
this is Nawaz Revenge Program Expense. will that fail, for sure.
It is very strange; the guy is still aroud? He is a libility, how come Pakistan Government not annul his citizenship and let him go free to the country which grants him the asylum. The USA will not take him since he is accused of protecting Sheikh Bin Laden and misleading the CIA.

The table is misleading as the people earning higher income are part of the Akram Shiekh team and what about the time and resources spent on the judges who are sitting almost on daily basis their TA/DA travelling from Quetta, Karachi and Lahore? Moreover, this is another 'formal' way of doing corruption by awarding huge sum of money to the lawyers loyal to a party and more specifically to its chiefs.
law is not cheap anywhere, certainly not for the poor, may be that is why so many people talk about getting Sharia
@Rafay Ahmad:
Wow ! u r so very correct...so why leave other dictators off the hook ? say, why not start from Gen Ayub,Gen Yahya, Gen Zia.....accountability should be indiscriminate and across the board...why double standard ? why only Gen Musharaff ? Just because he is alive......past dictators can be tried in absentia...why not !

@Rafay Ahmad: When the corrupt politicians loot the nation, no one bats an eye, but when a military personal takes over, everyone loses their minds. Shame on you! PMLN is wasting public tax money on taking revenge from Musharraf
