The order came after an outcry over images of locals waving Pakistani flags during the recently concluded Asia Cup, also held in Bangladesh.
A Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) spokesperson said the board had issued a directive after it "noticed that some local fans were flying foreign flags flouting the country's flag rules".
"We've received instruction in this regard," the spokesperson told AFP, without clarifying.
"As such we've ordered security officials and guards to make sure Bangladesh fans cannot carry or fly flags of foreign nations in the stadiums."
The BCB order came on the eve of Bangladesh's 44th Independence Day celebrations, marking the day when the nation went to war against Pakistan.

Please be Open Minded. One thing has been happened. B.desh is a country now. But don't forget Peoples of both side were the citizen of one country, so still HEARTS OF BOTH SIDE breath together. The other side both are Muslims. Here in Pakistan we do feel same pain for any bad incident in B.Desh and the peoples of B.Desh do feel same pain for PAKISTAN'S bad incidents. tariq hussain

We Pakistanis sincerely love the Bangladeshis and respect them as fellow muslims.this is disappointing U know what we all said when the Bangladeshis lost?we felt sorry for the girls who cried.we were impressed by the level of loyalty and support they had for their team. We respected them then and we do now.we feel extremely sorry for what happened between us.but please. Those were our politicians .we harbour no such feelings what so ever and are extremely sorry for the past.but we hoped u cud bury the hatchet.this sort of incident is painful indeed.
When we beat that pathetic team in the finals of Asia cup she walked off so that she did not have to meet the winners. We will do it again Inshallah and this time should refuse to meet her, period.
Next would be banning people using their tongues in favor of other teams (read Pakistan's team), Bangladeshis should thank God and haseena that haseena did not get them death penalty from courts for waving Pakistani flags
Soon Haseena wajid will be forced to wave the pakistani flag again.

If this is the level of democracy in Bangladesh and India, than I am glad that even after having military dictatorship for decades in our country, we are still more democratic than some of these so called nations. No disrespect to the Bangladeshi fans though, they have been very supportive of Pakistan and it shows on what levels Bangladesh was made. This news is a direct dictation from the Indian govt. To the anti-Pakistan Bangla govt. Which even their people hate. Last thing to remember, Pakistan was a movement which gave hope to others oppressed area of India that if they fight hard, they can have their freedom. No matter how hard they try, Pakistan is and will be the nation everyone looks up to when they talk about freedom.

Thats a new low...i remember Haseena Wajid's bias in the final of Asia cup 2012 (Pakistan vs Bangladesh) when she had to distribute the trophy to the winner, but she left the ground when Pakistan won!

A childish move by a childish regime. If this is not autocracy then I don't know what is. This is a serious attack mainly on the Pakistani flag and support. We should at least make a counter statement and portray our viewpoint or a little tit for tat .

A sign of great Sportsmanship portrayed by the Bangladeshi authorities. If by banning Parties like Jamaat and forcing the people not to wave certain flags is the name of the secularism then Pakistan is better off without secularism and we should not even talk about it. Bangladeshi secularism is actually the second name of forcing one thought on others while terminating any difference of opinion. Bangladeshis dont have a secular regime. This is the totalitarianism in my view.
