LANDIKOTAL: A human trafficking bid was foiled at the Torkham Border on Monday and three alleged kidnappers were held. According to political administration official Daftar Khan, around 2pm a car was passing through the Pak-Afghan border when a woman began shouting that she had been kidnapped. Following this, Khan said, khasadar officials stopped the car and arrested the three men. The woman identified as Parveen Bibi told the officials that Arsala Khan and Hazrat Ali, residents of Charsadda, had sold her to an Afghan citizen, Khanan for Rs0.3 million. However, Khanan claimed Parveen was ‘married’ to him and her family paid him money for her and signed an agreement.
