
Nearly 40 people were killed when a passenger bus rammed into a truck, triggering a pileup in Gaddani area.
According to the Lasbela police, cases have been registered under Section 320, 337G, 427, 285 and Section 23 against the drivers of the two passenger buses and one truck driver.
“The police have registered cases against the three drivers,” Lasbela DPO Ahmed Nawaz Cheema confirmed to The Express Tribune.
According to transport companies, two drivers died on the spot while the whereabouts of the third driver are unknown and he is presumed dead.
The Sindh Health Department has collected DNA samples of 30 bodies and 24 family members in order to enable cross-matching. Medical experts from the Sindh police and Abbasi Shaheed Hospital took samples on Saturday night.
An information desk has been set up at the Edhi morgue to facilitate those whose relatives are missing after the deadly crash.
