Second consecutive day: Four dead as rain batters Balochistan

Four others also injured when six mud houses collapsed due to torrential rains.

QUETTA: At least four people were killed and four others injured on Sunday when six mud houses collapsed due to torrential rains that continued to lash Quetta and other cities of Balochistan for the second consecutive day. The casualties were reported from Loralai district. At the same time, the provincial capital and several other areas including Pishin, Ziarat, Khan Mehterzai, Khanozai, Killa Abdullah, Zhob, Killa Saifullah and Harnai were battered by rain. Rain water has inundated low-lying areas. Electricity supplies were disrupted in many areas within the first few hours of the downpour.
