AIOU: Dr Chishti new vice chancellor

Prof Dr Ali Asghar Chishti has been given the acting charge Vice-Chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Vice Chancellor. He has been appointed VC on the completion of four-year tenure of Dr Nazir Ahmed Sangi, said a notification issued by the education Ministry here on Friday. He will be the acting Vice-Chancellor of the University with immediate effect for a period of three months or till the appointment of a regular Vice-Chancellor whichever is earlier. Dr Chishti is a senior-most professor in the university and In-charge of the Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies.
