Unity: JUP conference at Nishtar Park

KARACHI: Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) Noorani faction president Dr Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair said on Thursday that the party will hold a large ‘Ittehad Ahle-Sunnah Conference’ at Nishtar Park on March 29. He said all like-minded parties would be invited to attend this historic moot. The unity of Ummah is necessary to meet the global challenges faced by Muslims, he said. Addressing a gathering, he said the ulema can play a crucial role in steering the country out of crisis. In the past, the JUP played a major role in national politics, adding that he is trying his best to unite all factions of the JUP to mould it into a vibrant political force again. He said recently five factions of the JUP announced in Lahore that they would merge into the JUP-Noorani.
