ISLAMABAD: The government realises the need to harmonise national policy issues with international requirements among quality-related organisations and regulatory agencies to ensure an effective and efficient service delivery. “In the presence of an effective National Quality Policy, ‘Made in Pakistan’ will become a seal of quality,” said Federal Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid on Thursday after the finalisation of the draft of National Quality Policy 2014. The event was organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology with the support of the EU-funded Trade Related Technical Assistance (TRTA-II) programme. The draft was developed after a series of consultations and workshops with public and private sector stakeholders under the supervision of the ministry and with the support of the EU programme.
